We are proud to share that Andries van der Meer gave an insightful keynote lecture at the hDMT 10-year Anniversary Conference on April 2-3 in Lunteren!
His lecture, “Organs-on-Chips: From Platform Technology to Applications in Drug Development,” explored the transformative potential of Organ-on-Chip technology, bridging the gap between fundamental research and real-world applications in medicine.
The mission of hDMT, the Institute for human organ and Disease Model Technologies, is to develop and qualify cell culture models that mimic healthy and diseased human tissues based on Organ-on-Chip technology, and to facilitate their valorization and implementation.
At Lifelong VISION, we are fully aligned with this mission — Platform A aims to develop clinically relevant retinal models that accurately reflect human retinal health and disease. This vision aligns seamlessly with the Eye-on-Chip theme group of hDMT.
